We believe that great teachers are not only masters of their respective
instruments, but continuing students of music, learning styles, and the physiology or our bodies and minds. We take pride in staying up to date on innovative concepts and ideas, such as neuroplasticity, to better understand how children in today’s technological world learn. This makes us more effective and helps us give your child the best education available. Only with consistent study can anyone ever continue to add value. We do our best to pursue our own journey so that we can best serve all our students.

We are proud of each student and have enjoyed seeing our more serious students reach the collegiate level, attending schools such as Eastman School of Music, Eton College in Berkshire England, Indiana University, University of Colorado College of Music, Brigham Young University as well as many other prestigious musical programs.
Ethics
We adhere to the ethics that MTNA (Music Teachers National Association) put forth, making our main responsibility to the students we teach. Our guidance can help a child make the right choice, or hinder them, so we take our responsibility to remain professional very seriously. It is a teacher’s first responsibility to guide them towards their goals at all times.
We hold all teachers to our MBIM Code of Ethics:
- Honor
- Integrity
- Kindness
- Mutual Respect
- Dedication
We will not condone any student or teacher that breaks one of these tenants and we take pride in our commitment to guide each student with honesty, compassion, and intelligence. We are here to create a culture that will aid our students in every walk of life, not just music. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
Our Mission
To guide each student to their FULL potential, not only in music, but in how they think in a constantly changing world.
With a clear view of individual goals, we aspire to stay on top of all the latest research ranging from teaching techniques, childhood psychology, neuroplasticity and physiology to create a synergistic learning atmosphere that builds confidence, creates good habits, innovative thinkers, and strong leaders.
MBIM Method
MBIM and its instructors understand the importance of mastering musical technique and style, but what distinguishes us from some others is our dedication to staying involved and educated on how children learn in today’s world of “anytime entertainment”.
As our world of technology pushes everyone further into the right-brained spectrum, music is more important than ever before. Not only is it a whole brained activity, if practiced as instructed, it strengthens the left hemisphere of the brain which is vitally important in today’s world. This mixture of understanding aspects from learning styles to how the brain and body work help us to aid the student, not only in music, but in school, sports, public performances, and how they think.
As traditional teachers, we feel the best approach is not found in any one method, but using the best of all methods, at the right time, for the right student. Our teaching style is designed to instill a systematic and logical approach to each challenge, guiding our students to excel in music, but more importantly, in everything they do. This world is changing at a pace that many people don’t understand, which is why we work with some of the top minds in child and adult education and development fields. Throughout the past twenty years, we have noticed that many of the old methods no longer remain as effective as they once were. Understanding how our brains are changing and the right way to approach each student is paramount for being a successful teacher.
We believe that every student is capable of reaching their potential (Utilizing Private Lessons: video) and will expect the utmost effort from every student/family we have the privilege and honor of aiding in their pursuit of bringing music into their lives and homes. The effort input always determines the outcome and we expect our teachers and students to perform at a higher level with each passing year. We are proud to have multiple CSMTNA winners and concertmasters ranging from GBYO to DYAO and public high schools over the past several years.
We are honored to have a Leadership Program for Teacher Assistants as part of the MBIM studio. Our best students teach and are overseen by the main teachers. This offers them the ability to learn valuable skills for college and life after college, while at the same time offer an affordable price. We take no percentage and only choose the best applicants. They must take care of scheduling their students, communicating with each other, continuing with their own private lessons, and be proven teachers. Advanced students that utilize and understand our MBIM method of teaching are chosen. These students show outstanding personal skill musically, as well as in leadership, teaching, guiding, and dependability. The Master Teachers are always available for advice, support, and supervision. We feel that this unique program offers an opportunity for students to share their love of music while it enhances their own personal knowledge and understanding. It is a distinctive opportunity for them to prepare for being a leader as they step away from high school and college into the professional world. Music and teaching provide a strong base for confidence and leadership. We are extremely proud of this program and our TAs.
In a simple way, to quote one of our founders, “Perfection is about how you try, not how you perform…” because if you prepare properly, for anything, you will accomplish amazing things. It’s what we expect from our teachers, our students, and those that support those students.
