Policies

Tuition should be paid IN FULL the first lesson of every month. To keep our costs affordable we charge the same rate whether there are four or five lessons that month.  On months that have five weeks, there is no extra charge, however we build up up PTO for vacation time.

Tuition Includes mini-recitals at no extra charge (usually 3-4 per year), weekly private lessons, an annual formal recital at a professional venue, guidance selecting an appropriate instrument, competition opportunities, and potential scholarships.

Vacation Policy for our master teachers:   Ms. Beck, Ms. Jeanne, and Mr. Miller receive two weeks of vacation per year.  This vacation will not change the tuition that is due.  It has been included in the general cost of tuition.

We understand that there are times when life adds a surprise, however, we have committed our schedule and time to each student and expect you to do your best to be here.  If you need to cancel a lesson, please read the following…

• To qualify for a make-up lesson please notify your teacher at least 24 HOURS before your scheduled time and we will do our best to find a make-up time with your main teacher or one of our certified MBIM instructors.
• If you are suddenly ill we understand and the 24 hour notice is not required.  If this becomes a habit we will evaluate alternative options.
• ALL make-up lessons must be PRE-ARRANGED.  This is most important for your own vacation time and we will do our best to accommodate.
• No tuition credits or refunds will be given for absences.

We are happy to give your children and you the most flexibility that we can.  We teach seven days per week. This affords individuals engaged in sports to have the option to pursue more than one passion.  To remain a top-level teacher and to provide the best service, we do need time to refresh.

• We reserve two weeks off without affecting monthly tuition.  We typically take off a week in December, and one in the summer.
• We rarely take sick days, but reserve three days per year.  We will do our best to make-up any missed lesson and do have MBIM certified teacher assistants that can often fill in when the Head Instructor is ill.
• We do not take off many of the national holidays in order to remain consistent.  We do, however, take off Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and July 4^th.

We offer a family discount, so if you have more than one child taking lessons with us, please ask and we will explain this further.

For students and their families that are gone for FOUR CONSECUTIVE LESSONS or more due to family vacation we require half tuition be paid prior to any extended leave to hold your place in our studio.  If you choose not to pay, we certainly understand, however we cannot guarantee an available place upon your return.  Please feel free to ask us to clarify before leaving to hold your spot so there will be no change upon your return.
